Sadewa Bekker (18) is a young Dutch trumpet player with a lot of ambition. From the age of 12, he studied at the preliminary music school of the Rotterdam Conservatory, the Codarts Lyceum , under jazz greats Jan Van Duikeren and Jarmo Hoogendijk. He developed into a young talented player. He soon shared the stage with drum legend John Engels and started to peform regularly. In 2023, Sadewa participated in the prestigious Prinses Christina Concoura and placed 3rd. He also performed that year in a sold-out Concertgebouw during the New Year's concert of the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble with his own composition. Since September, Sadewa continued his music education at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and has already played as a soloist with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw and in the Peter Beets' New Jazz Orchestra! Sadewa is still young, but very ambitious and would later like to release his own repertoire as a band leader: "I want to tell my own story".
